After killing the ghouls feeding on the corpse, the party found a brooch on the body that spoke aloud in common: 'Lila, you there? Lila, respond.' Lux tapped a claw to it and told the voice that Lila would not be responding, and gave his own name.
The voice's only reply was 'Can you stay there? We'll be there soon,' and then Nathara and her escort dropped out of the darkness almost immediately — far faster than the party expected, leaving no time for the plan Shim was proposing.
How Lila died, what she was scouting, and what the 'objective' Nathara must return to the city actually is all remain unanswered. Nathara muttered 'stupid girl' over the body before turning to the party.
