What We Know

The burning of the Adventurers' building, the ghouls in the manor and the portal in the courtyard all ran at once, and while everyone was fighting, Adrian Valecourt was taken quietly out of the party. He had reportedly excused himself to the wine cellar for a rare bottle to mark his own betrothal. The party found him there, bound and slung over the shoulder of a hooded man in a raven mask, beside a second, smaller and much more stable portal.

The dwarf wrenched him free once; the serving girl, Lia, tackled the Raven in the courtyard and made him drop the young lord a second time. When the Raven finally escaped he did not take Adrian with him. Whether the abduction was the point of the whole attack, or one piece of something larger, is unknown.

Lady Elara Montclair's calm in the aftermath — still on guard, still jaded, but far calmer than anyone else, and casually explaining where her betrothed had gone — was noted by more than one of the party.
