Azeron Vale Will Return

▶The party beat Azeron Vale badly enough that he abandoned his ghouls, his thralls, and his prize. He did not abandon his interest. He turned to mist mid-combat, said they would see each other again, and fled around a corner into the dark where the party chose not to follow.

▶He wanted the artifact from Nathara specifically and believes he knows how to properly manifest its power. Three of the party are now physically bound to it with tattoos they cannot remove. Lux raised the worry that if the drow don't understand the tattoos, they might simply cut off the arms — which suggests others might think the same.
