The Spider Matron of the Webs

▶A very large spider that dropped down onto the webs after the party's fall and negotiated through Ottora. She spoke of 'my younglings' and 'the older parts of the brood,' and said it was not advantageous for herself or the older brood to go deal with the creature below personally.

▶She guaranteed her group would not harm the party while they were in the area, and had the smaller spiders chew them free and lower a rope of web. After the angler was killed she sent roughly fifty small spiders to haul the corpse away. Her people referred to a 'mom' and a 'queen' who would be pleased with the meal, suggesting she is not the top of the colony's hierarchy.

▶When the party left, she or her kin pointed them left out of the cave, toward creatures that leave the spiders alone.
