Nathara

▶Nathara turned to face Azeron Vale herself when he demanded the artifact, telling the party to handle the ghouls at the rear. She had no words for his monologue about how her kind could not properly manifest the artifact's power — she and her three unnamed escorts simply drew their swords.

▶Mid-fight she took out a small box and a compass, smeared her own blood onto the compass in what looked to the religiously-inclined like a holy symbol, and threw both into a party member's pouch with instructions to bring them to the city. Lux's attempt to heal her was outright rejected by her body, something in her conflicting violently with the vitality magic — possibly a consequence of being bitten.

▶The vampire drained her, then punched his hand through her chest where her heart was and threw it aside. The party retrieved the heart, put it back in her chest cavity, and used her own ice spear to entomb her and her fallen companions, intending to carry the leader's body back to the composer as she had described.

▶Nathara arrived within seconds of Lux answering the speaking brooch on the corpse of her companion Lila. She dropped from the darkness with a spear and a handful of escorts, weapons drawn but not levelled, and went first to the body before addressing the party.

▶She was unimpressed with the surface folk and openly called them creatures, but did not see much of an issue with them. She agreed to show them the way to the city of Xalthera and to travel together for safety, while making clear she prioritizes her mission and getting her objective back to the city first.

▶She froze Lila's corpse with a wave of her spear to preserve it, explaining it was 'for the composer, so she can make use of her once again,' and had one of her escorts carry it. At camp she asked the party to dim their light to forty feet and kept her own camp dark and separate, though within sight.
