Lia cut the bulb from the dead angler's lure with the flaming spear and would not let anyone touch it at first. Detect magic showed it was both natural and magical, retaining some part of the charming effect the living creature used.
In testing, Lux shone it at Ottora, who leaned in with a sparkle in his eye — a milder version of the fascination the angler had used on the party. Lux's assessment is that striking or impacting it makes it flare and attempt to fascinate whoever looks at it.
The party discussed affixing it to Vosk's shield or otherwise mounting it, but lacked the equipment. For now it is carried wrapped in cloth, also proposed as proof to the spiders and to anyone else that the thing was killed.
