She goes by Lia.

Lia doesn't love being told her destiny before she's had any say in it. On the road she ties her hair back, keeps her head down, and answers to nothing more than "you there." It rarely lasts — but she keeps the dye in her pack anyway.

Attended the ball undercover as hired help, working the courtyard with a tray of scallops and later champagne, brown dye scrubbed into her bright orange hair and a bandana over the rest. She served Lord Garrick personally in the great hall and drew a look of genuine curiosity from a man everyone else gives a wide berth — she saw more of him in that moment than most people ever do. She also refused Vosk's tip, saying she had plenty of coin.
When the Adventurers' Building blew, she went up the tower and then down the outside of it, sliding down the wall into a tumble that came out messier than intended and shook her hair loose. Lux dropped a flaming spear into her hands mid-run. Inside the manor she tackled a ghoul off a guest and got bitten for it, contracting the first stage of ghoul fever, then spent the fight sprinting sixty feet at a stretch and hurling the returning spear across the courtyard, killing several ghouls outright with crits.
In the endgame she charged the raven-masked abductor and disarmed him of Adrian, and her reactive strike cracked his mask open just before he snapped the token. She fell into the Abyss with everyone else.
Who She Comes From
The Eversols are not nobles. They aren't powerful priests. They aren't some secret bloodline controlling the church.
They're simply a devout family within the Dawnflowers, a Sarenraen religious tradition that has been part of their community for generations.
They pray to the Dawnflower. They attend services. They volunteer. They help travelers. They tend the sick. They participate in religious festivals. They teach the faith to their children.
A farmer, carpenter, and devoted follower of Sarenrae. No great religious title — not a priest, not a knight. Just a good man who believes deeply in his faith. He taught Lia how to use a spear, not because he thought she needed to become a legendary warrior, but because everyone in the family learns basic spear work.
He is enormously proud of her. He is also completely incapable of being normal about her destiny.
If Lia accomplishes something impressive: "That's my girl." If she defeats a monster: "I always knew you could." If she saves someone's life: "The Dawnflower shines through you." If she says she wants to become a farmer: "Of course! A farmer can still be the Dawn's Chosen."
Garran genuinely doesn't understand why this is frustrating. To him, Lia can be anything she wants. She just also happens, he believes, to be about to become the greatest hero in history while doing it.
Lia"Dad."
Garran"What?"
Lia"You're supposed to tell me that's okay."
Garran"It is okay."
Lia"You're supposed to tell me I don't have to be the Chosen One."
Garran"You don't."
Lia"...Thank you."
Garran"You can be the Chosen One and a farmer."
Lia"DAD."
A gardener and herbalist who serves the local community through the Dawnflower churches. No grand title, no high priesthood — she's the woman people come to when they need a poultice, stitches, advice, or someone to sit with them when they're afraid. Warm, patient, intelligent, deeply compassionate.
And far worse than Garran when it comes to Lia's destiny. Mariel has kept records of Lia's childhood — every significant event, every strange coincidence, every unusual dream, every time Lia showed extraordinary ability. Not because she's obsessed with proving the prophecy. Because she thinks it's beautiful.
To Mariel, Lia's destiny is not a burden. It's a blessing. She doesn't understand why Lia doesn't feel the same way.
Tessa thinks that Lia squanders her gifts. She trains harder than anyone else in the local segment of the Dawnflowers. Lia thinks she is just looking up to her big sister, unaware that she is trying to be ready to take the mantle of Sarenrae's Chosen when Lia fails.
Tessa still loves her sister but thinks that she should take it more seriously. They grew up very close, growing apart as Lia continued to distance herself from her destiny.
The family menace. Thinks Lia's legendary status is hilarious, and is the only member of the family who consistently calls her Lia — not out of respect for her wishes, but because he thinks the formal name is stupid.
Bram"This is my sister Lia. She's apparently destined to defeat the darkness."
Bram"So how many monsters did you kill today?"
Mina absolutely believes the prophecy. She has a little wooden spear and follows Lia around whenever she's home, certain Lia can do anything — which means Lia can't bring herself to disappoint her.
Mina is one of the reasons Lia's rebellion has never become an outright rejection of her role. Because when Mina is frightened, Lia shows up.
